A USB 2.0 host adapter with two USB 2.0 ports is included in this kit. This combination of mobility and high-performance is unparallel in CD-ReWritable drives and introduces a new era in USB CD-Recordable drives. The PDC Xtreme16 CD-ReWriter is fully backwards compatible with USB 1.1 ports, acting as a 4x4x8 drive due to USB 1.1 performance limitations.The drive writes CD-R (Recordable) at a fast 16x speed, high-speed CD-RW (re-Writable) media at the fastest 10x speeds and reads CD-ROMs at 40x speeds. To improve reliability and performance, The PDC Xtreme16 CD-ReWriter is equipped with "Smart-BurnT" technology which means you can be sure your recordings will turn out great every time with no loss of data (no more wasted media).
