Sony advances the state of the art for portable CD burning with the industries first combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive for USB 2.0 equipped PCs. The new CRX85U sports blazing 20X CD-R burning, 8x CD-RW recording, 24x CD-ROM reading and 8x (max.) DVD-ROM reading in a slim external form factor. Also included is Sony's new enhanced Power-Burn™ CD recording management system. Power-Burn technology takes the worry out of CD burning by eliminating buffer-underrun and optimizing the burn to the brand and type of CD-R/RW disc used. Power-Burn technology also reduces writing errors due to mechanical shock and scratches/fingerprints on the disc. The CRX85U comes complete with a generous suite of software tools to help you manage and edit digital pictures and video, listen to your favorite digital music, record your own original music, watch DVD movies, and even back up your PC. Works with Windows® 98SE, Windows® Millennium Edition, Windows® 2000 operating system, and Macintosh® computers.
